The Jutse Plassen is an artificially-created water retention basin and lies in the municipality of Koningshooikt, on the border with Putte.
The provincial floodplain stretches over 11 acres, and can hold 100,000 cubic metres of water. Part of the land has been reused for the construction of dikes around the area. In addition to protection from flooding, the Jutse Plassen floodplain also provides space for new nature.
