Lier city guides were mentioned for the first time in 1927, after hundreds of interested people followed a guide training via the Davidsfonds. The Lierse Gidsenbond (Lier Guide's Association) was founded in 1927. The city on the Nete was promoted as a tourist attraction through guided tours, lectures with slides and publications.
In 1992, the Guide's Association was named "Argus". Today, 35 city guides accredited by Toerisme Vlaanderen provide quality tours tailored to and in dialogue with your group.
The guides will enthusiastically tell you about different themes in Dutch, French, English, German or Spanish.
